The Gumala Enterprises & Developments Board, as Trustee for the Gumala Enterprises Trust (GET), continued planning following their visit to Karijini late last year. Since then, the Board has been working closely with the Gumala Trust to identify new opportunities for business growth and economic development.
A major milestone has now been reached: GET has its first‑ever Strategic Plan. This plan will guide future business activity, strengthen enterprise performance and help build a stable, sustainable pathway for new income.
This work is already showing positive results. After several years of recording losses under previous management, GET has now achieved positive revenue since the Gumala Trust brought the enterprise arm back in‑house last year. This is a strong sign that GET is now on a stable footing and moving in the right direction.
The Board’s current focus includes:
- Strengthening existing enterprises
- Exploring new revenue opportunities
- Building strong commercial partnerships
- Ensuring all business activity reflects the values and aspirations of Beneficiaries
- Supporting long‑term financial independence for the Gumala Foundation
