A Special Thankyou

December 12, 2023

November 30 marked the end of the current terms of GIPL’s three TO Directors: Roy Tommy, Claire Gesah, and Helen Smith.

Claire and Helen will not be returning to their positions, and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.

“During their terms, they combated the tumultuous time brought on by Covid-19, helped to deliver Gumala’s very first Hybrid AGM, and worked alongside the other Directors to ensure greater outcomes and benefits for all of Gumala’s Members and Beneficiaries”

– Yale Bolto, Chair of the GIPL Board

“It has been a pleasure to serve the Gumala Members and Beneficiaries alongside Helen and Claire over the years. Having their valuable cultural insight and Traditional Owner perspectives have allowed us to move together, GAC and GIPL, toward common goals. I wish them all the best on their ventures and we will no doubt catch up at future Gumala AGMs”

– Nola Naylor, Chair of the GAC Board.

We thank Claire, Helen, and Roy for their commitment during their years of service, and we welcome back Roy, who is returning to his role as Yinhawangka Director.
